practicing the way of Jesus in our day

Why Join Us?
In Matthew 11:28-30 Jesus says: “Come to me, all you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” Weariness and heavy burdens plague humanity in our hurried, anxious world. It’s easy to live distracted, exhausted, and fearful. But Jesus says He gives us rest.
Can you imagine what it would be like to live unhurried in a hurried world? To live with a confident purpose in the work (the yoke) Jesus has for you while finding rest for your soul? It’s possible. It’s possible in and with Jesus. We believe God desires The Local Church to cultivate a culture of rest in Him: individually and corporately. We do this by practicing the way of Jesus: getting alone with the Father, reading the Word, equipping the saints, spending time around tables, loving and serving those around us. This will take practice: moment by moment surrender to the love of God. When we do this, we can become radical disciples multiplying the Kingdom of God in the world around us!
